Increased flywheel mass/inertia provides smoother power. Smoother power delivery allows the rider to ride longer and faster with less fatigue. Reduces the tendency of the quad or bike to stall at low RPM’s. Inertia increase allows for better traction on loose/slippery terrain. Decreased flywheel mass will increase engine responsiveness (desirable when riding in sand). All Trail Tech flywheels have upgraded magnets to boost lighting output from the stator, if the stator has lighting coils. The Honda CRF flywheels are manufactured with two magnet options: higher strength for lighting purposes, and lower strength OEM equivalent magnets for weight only.
